I learned a lot though, so I'm looking forward to applying what I've learned to new content. I hope you enjoy it! It was a big undertaking to consecutively learn HTML5 and convert the game while also creating updates for it. HTML5 has some volatility and I'm certain I haven't caught every quirk about it, so your experience will definitely be useful for me. Also, from my testing, the game now performs better than the original Flash version, but since it's HTML5 it may be highly dependent on your device and browser. For example, I had to totally remake the idle and tip scenes for the cowgirl position in order to optimize them for HTML5.

Assorted bugfixes, art, and animations tweaks: While developing the new updates, I tweaked small parts of the game for various reasons.

Whenever you return to this screen after playing a scene, Whitemane's appearance will change depending on the scene played.

New intro/scene-selection screen: I wanted to contextualize the game a bit, so I created a short dialogue sequence at the beginning of the game.

I've started relatively simple here, since I was also still learning the limitations of HTML5, but I built it to allow for new options to be added with relative ease.

New customization options: I've added new options for both Whitemane and her partner.

There were some tradeoffs, but the new format allows the game to work on mobile browsers, have built-in fullscreen, and be overall more accessible.

Conversion from Flash to HTML5: It took some time, but I've managed to convert the whole game to HTML5 to (almost) dodge the deprecation of Flash.

The update comes with a number of new additions: On mobile, I've had best results with Chrome and Edge.Ī bit overdue, but the new update to Whitemane's Inquisition is finally here!
